House in Pachia Ammos

The site is located outside the village of Pachia Ammos, close to Ierapetra, Crete. This house is planned for a family as their permanent place of living.

The house is a little lifted from the ground and has a simple form of its contour. The main orientation is the clear view to the sea. The interior space has the living room, the kitchen, 4 bedrooms  (2 with ensuited bathrooms) and one more common bathroom. The basement with direct acces from the inside gives multiple advantages for storing space and also has physical ventilation and sunlight.  The exterior space combines materials of stucco and stone and the veranda pergola is hanged from beams. Also infront of the  house it is constructed swimming pool of a low and an higher level of water.

The free space of the plot is designed with selected planting with domestic plants.
