Opus⁺ is a firm based in Ierapetra, Crete (Greece) that specializes in the design and construction of buildings of various typologies such as residential, commercial, offices, shops, renovations, and hotels.

Architecture

Architecturally, our core values are bound to an anthropocentric design approach that gives priority to the enhancement of human well being. Key elements to Opus⁺ architecture are the delicate use of natural and artificial light, the distinct and comprehensible spatial geometry as the leading factor to a proper architectural composition and the fusion of the indoors with the outdoors spaces through controlled transparency and unified function. The architectural form is not set as a primary challenge. It simply derives from our design procedure, which is directed from the interior towards the exterior using simple geometry forms in simple combination of materials to a unified result.

Construction

We strongly believe that a fine architectural design without being properly constructed is a story half told. That is the reason why Opus⁺ was introduced since day one as a practice with the ability to construct its own designs. Our construction practice is characterized by constant experimentation with new materials, new technologies and the development of innovative structural solutions, ensuring that the architectural design is further enhanced by the way it is materialized. All that performed in a very careful way, leaving architecture its vital breathing space.

Development

We envisage development and real estate management as a supplementary way to introduce our work approach to a broader, international audience. As a development firm, Opus⁺ is active in optimizing of the approach of land or building investment and also to the acquisition of land, development, construction and sales of residential and business premises.

Emmanouil Lianakis

Founder – Senior Partner

Manos Lianakis was born in Athens in 1985. He studied Civil/Structural Engineering in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and received his Bsc and M.Eng degree as an engineer. He worked in Thessaloniki and in Crete on various technical offices and firms in different project typologies (apartments, residences, renovations, shops) on planning and on construction field.
